St. Mary's Prayer Lists are now online as well as in our weekly printed and uploaded bulletin!
On February 22nd, 1931, Sister Maria Faustina had a vision of Jesus while she was in Plock, Poland. Jesus appeared to her in her cell and said, "paint an image according to the pattern you see with the signature: Jesus I trust in you.” “I want this image to be solemnly blessed on the first Sunday after Easter; that Sunday is to be the Feast of Mercy”  (Diary 49)  In addition to the image, Sr. Faustina received words of prayer to be recited on the beads of her rosary.  These prayers became the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and the devotion has quickly become one of the most popular in the world.
On Good Friday we begin a 9 day prayer of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Phase-1 of our Acoustic Remediation Project is Complete!
On February 17th, Stage Sound installers began work on our Worship Area back wall.

We are so pleased with the final results of the acoustic remediation project aimed at improving our spoken word sound quality.  Thank you for being so patient while the panels were installed and the sound mixing team tested the microphones and speakers in our Worship Area -- your flexibility made the project go very smoothly!  Check out the acoustics page under the “Moving Forward” link found on our home page to learn more about the future of this project.  To make contributions that directly fund our acoustic improvements, make a check payable to St. Mary’s and indicate “Acoustics” memo.

      Prayer of Discipleship
      Loving God,
I thank you for choosing me to be your disciple
and for the gift of your Son, Jesus.
Help me proclaim and bear witness to the Gospel
      by word and deed,
      today and every day.
      Open my heart to
      the outcast, the forgotten,
the lonely, the sick, the poor.
      Grant me the courage
to think, to choose, and to live as a Christian,
      joyfully obedient to God.
We are reading this prayer following Communion at each weekend Mass throughout Lent 2014.
