    • Noteworthy

      There will be no Daily Mass, until Tuesday, November 25.   Fr. Remi is in Nepal on a hiking expedition.

      The Little Sisters of the Poor will be visiting St. Mary’s November 1st & 2nd and speaking at all Masses.  There will be a 2nd collection taken up to benefit the Sister’s work.

      You are also invited to hear the Little Sisters speak about their vocation at dinner on Saturday, November 1st following the 5pm Mass.

      All Saint Mass - Saturday, November 1 @ 12 noon

      The Solemnity of All Saints is a Holy Day of Obligation, but since it falls on a Saturday this year, the obligation to attend Mass is abrogated.

      A training session for all of our new and returning Lectors will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4th. Join us for dinner at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall, with training in the worship area from 7:00-8:00 pm. Please RSVP by Nov. 2nd to Beth Shaver, liturgy@stmarysblacksburg.org.

      There will be a training session for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion on Saturday, November 8th from 10am-12:30pm.  A light brunch will be provided.  Please RSVP to Beth Shaver, liturgy@stmarysblacksburg.org by Nov. 6
      The annual Haiti Fundraising Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 8 @ 6pm in the Parish Hall.  Benefits from this fundraiser will go toward projects slated for our twin parish in Haiti and Fr. Nicolas. Tickets are $20 adults/$5 students and will be available in the Narthex starting October 25 or contact Dick Neves (mussel2@verizon.net)

      St. Mary’s is participating in the Diocesan Evangelization Plan ... this first year - of five -is focused on Personal Encounters with Jesus Christ. Please share your story! 
      Send to Barbara MacDonald, rbmacd@verizon.net, or drop it in one of envelopes in the Narthex. It could be a simple encounter with Jesus, a mini-miracle or a magnificent one.  Your fellow parishioners would love to hear yours. As received, these personal encounters will be published in the Bulletin, and later, a Christmas & Easter gift for visitors.
