Knights of Columbus


The Knights’ motto is: “In Service to One. In Service to All.” In pursuit thereof, the Knights of Columbus a Catholic, Family, Fraternal, Service Organization based on the core principles of Love Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism, focusing their energies on the following areas of activity:  Church, Family, Community, Youth and Council.

 

The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic service organization in the world, with over 1.75 million members and over 13,000 local councils.  The Knights celebrated the 125th year of its founding in 2007.

 

Our local council is the Father Edward Fox Council #6747, which, in addition to St. Mary’s, also serves the parishes of Holy Spirit (Christiansburg) and Holy Family (Pearisburg).  It was established in 1975.  Monthly business meetings, which are open to any knight in good standing, are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the council home at 400 College Ave., NW in Christiansburg.

 

The local assembly of 4th degree knights is the Father James A. Burge Assembly #2707.  The assembly, which was established in 2001, meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the council home in Christiansburg.
