Stewardship
In the First Letter of John we read, “We love because God first loved us.” Hardly a more true word was ever written. Our love and our sharing are motivated by the awareness that others have loved us. This says something about the importance of being loved and of love in our human families. It also says something about the importance of realizing how much God loved us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son to die for it.” That’s how much God loves you. Jesus Christ died for you, for us. There is no greater love.
As stewards we know that love and as a result we want to love others by word and deed. Our sharing of our time, our talent, our treasure, and our prayers all are ways of expressing that love. An envelope put in the collection basket is only one of many ways says, “God loves me and I love you.” Learn more about various ways you can commit to Saint Mary’s Parish and our faith community starting with a Stewardship Drive Kickoff on Sept. 1st and the following weekend at the Stewardship Fair on Sept. 8th and 9th in the Narthex.

What shall I return to the Lord?
"...the practice of stewardship is important for the mission of the Church and for the spiritual well-being of each individual Christian. Everyone benefits from the sacrificial gift one makes of his time, talent and treasure..."
