Beginning on Good Friday (March 21st) St. Mary’s parishioners will begin a 9 day prayer of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

On February 22nd, 1931, Sister Maria Faustina had a vision of Jesus while she was in Plock, Poland. Jesus appeared to her in her cell and said, "paint an image according to the pattern you see with the signature: JESUS I TRUST IN YOU.” “I want this image to be solemnly blessed on the first Sunday after Easter; that Sunday is to be the Feast of Mercy” (Diary 49)

In addition to the image, Sr. Faustina received words of prayer to be recited on the beads of her rosary. These prayers became the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and the devotion has quickly become one of the most popular in the world.
